About
My primary interest is in understanding the contextual information that relates organisms to their environments. This contextual information is most often gleaned from associations of sedimentology, paleosols, ichnofossils, invertebrate and plant fossils, and their vertical and lateral relationships (e.g. spatiotemporal variability).
Early on my focus was vertebrate paleontology, morphology, and phylogenetics, with an emphasis on diplodocoid sauropods. More recently I have directed my attention to ichnofossils, paleosols, and sedimentology. I hope to continue my research in both vertebrate paleontology and sedimentology as a whole.
My current research focuses on the Triassic units of Wyoming. I hope to gain a better understanding of the vertical and lateral relationships of Triassic depositional environments and their associated fossil remains.
