I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Art History and the Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian Studies Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I also have affiliations with the Center for Visual Cultures and the UW Eye Research Institute. My research interests span cultures of visuality and performativity in the urban centers of the Black Atlantic world, from the late colonial period through the present day.
